Appointment Information

Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Physician visits are by appointment only. To reach us at any time, please call 704-403-7720. If you are calling for a well child visit or a routine medication refill, we ask that you call after 10 am to keep the early morning phone lines open for sick patients. We make every effort to see sick children in a timely manner.

After-hours emergencies
If your child has a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

Phone calls for urgent after-hours concerns are handled by our nurse answering service. Our highly trained registered nurses handle calls according to detailed protocols approved by our physicians. The on-call physician is available after hours and on weekends and holidays. Urgent illnesses and injuries may be seen in the office on weekend nights and Saturday mornings if the on-call physician is in the clinic. The physician may choose to see after-hours patients with urgent needs in the hospital or emergency room. Please do not go to the hospital emergency room before calling us unless your child has an extreme emergency.

Well Child Visits
Please schedule well child visits well in advance. Well child visits are recommended beginning at 2 weeks of age, then at 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24 months. After age 2, visits are recommended yearly with a pre-kindergarten visit at age 4 or 5, which includes vision and hearing screening and immunization updates. Checkups are generally recommended every one to three years thereafter. Children and teens playing school sports require a yearly physical. You are responsible for bringing any forms or paperwork with you for completion. Please check with your insurance company for the schedule in which well visits are reimbursed.

Refills
For ADD/ADHD and routine medication refills, our medication refill policy is to call the office and press option 5, leave your patient name, date of birth and medication. Calls received before 4 pm will be ready within 24 hours. Calls received after 4 pm may take 2 working days.

Cancellations
If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you give us 24-hour notice. If you do not show up for an appointment and fail to give notice, there will be a $20 service charge.
